The company’s work with South Nottingham College continues into Autumn 2010. The work centres on the development of a learner tracking and reporting system that tracks learner progress on the College’s 14-19 provision, SNC Education.



The system (screenshot above) represents a practical solution to the challenges presented by new collaborative education models. With the need for effective safeguarding and sharing of information paramount, the system acts as a repository for observations on learners, flagging up causes for concern and providing a basis for corrective action.

Tutors use the tool to understand learner needs and support lesson planning; management can pull out provision-wide reports to monitor progress on a strategic level. The system, which runs out of Microsoft Excel, was built from scratch by Tiger Solutions to cater for the needs of staff in the College and has received praise for its practicality and user-friendliness.
